Brett Sokolow, the CEO of the National Center for Higher
Education Risk Management, a consulting and law firm, told Al Jazeera that he
originated the terms “nonconsensual sexual intercourse” and “nonconsensual
sexual contact” as a way of bypassing many universities’ inability to believe
that their students could be guilty of rape.
