behavioral guidelines to which students may conform their behaviors."

Chronicle quotes McCreary on sororities and party culture
A better solution, Mr.
McCreary argued, would be getting alcohol out of Greek houses entirely and
hosting events in controlled, third-party environments.
Removing the
"residential component"—namely, upstairs bedrooms—would create a
safer environment.

Wall Street Journal quotes Schuster on CUNY policy
Saundra Schuster, an
attorney and Title IX consultant for universities, said the statute is intended
to protect individuals from gender discrimination—no matter how they identify
their gender, including transgender individuals. But, she added, “to say they
must [bar gendered salutations] because of the law is ridiculous.”
“I love the concept,”
she said, “but they are not mandated to do this.”

“Foundational research
has [revealed] these ‘undetected
rapists’,” Lewis says. “College men would say things like, ‘Oh, I never

they’d say, ‘Oh well, I’ve done that — but I’ve never raped somebody.’”
